Something New for Comfort Quilts – During the months of Autumn consider using fall colors for your comfort quilt blocks. Then, through the Winter months, design your blocks using winter or cool colors. Spring taps into our floral or bright fabrics. Of course, ANY block you prefer to make is appreciated and used in the comfort quilts we give our members. Please make blocks 12 1/2” X 12 1/2”. (We will also be sewing comfort quilts on Oct. 1st, same time and place.) Questions – contact Anne Brown.
Saturday, September 22nd:
Cherry Valley Library Workshop: 10:00-4:00, Cherry Valley Library. Participate in the following or bring your own project to work on. We will be focusing on working with: triangles, diamonds, etc., to:
- create quilt block and quilt layouts
- free motion quilting
- straight line quilting – using a walking foot
NOTE: You can still work on circular and geometric projects and quilting techniques and get our help throughout the year.
