Our July 2nd meeting will take place on the grounds of Bethesda Church at 1:00 P.M. and 6:30 P.M. We ask that you attend the meeting that you signed up for. Please bring a lawn chair. We also ask you to bring a mask. Treats WILL NOT be shared at this meeting, but if you want to bring a drink or something to snack on, please feel free to do so. We will try to make this as comfortable as possible. I know that all of you have been very prolific during this stay-at-home/ quarantine time; however, due to the expected hot weather I would like to limit the Sew and Tell to two items per person. Look forward to seeing you on Thursday.
Due to the stay-at-home order being extended to May 30th, our meetings have been cancelled. Hope to see you all in June!
I contacted Bethesda this morning. The church is abiding by the CDC recommendation
of no gatherings of more than 10 people. They are following this policy until April 30th
or until changes occur; so that means we will not have a Guild Meeting on April 2nd .
Needless to say, the workshop on April 3rd also has been cancelled. We are looking at
having Lynn Schmitt speak later this year.
We have an opportunity to catch up on all our quilting projects and maybe even starting
a new project that has been tugging at our creative spirit. Please, everyone stay safe

At the December meeting Vicki Tallacksen and Jane Erickson talked about the
possibility of making reusable cloth pads for girls in poverty in countries abroad
through Operation Christmas Child.
We will have instructions and materials to demonstrate and make some of these.
If you would like to join us all you need to do is bring your scissors.

Mini-Morning Workshop: 9:30-11:30, Bethesda Convenant Church. Karen Grover will be teaching Mary Mulari’s Crisscross Apron Pattern to make a great apron for the holidays. This is a quick pattern that can be used either as a gift or as a holiday apron for yourself. Karen will have several patterns for your use.

Wednesday, May 1st – Quilts to be judged must be turned in at Pam Collings’ house between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. You received a letter with address and map.
Thursday, May 2nd – Judging day 8:00 a.m. – when finished. If you volunteered to help, you received a letter with further information.
Friday, May 3rd – Quilts for display must be dropped off at the Indoor Sports Center, 8800 E. Riverside Blvd. between 7:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. You received a letter with further instructions.
Set up begins at 8:00 a.m. An email went out last week with links to all three days’ volunteer lists.
Saturday, May 4th – The quilt show begins, 9:00-5:00
Sunday, May 5th – The quilt show continues, 10:00-4:00
Tear down begins at 4:00 and quilts may be picked up at the Indoor Sports Center after 4:45. ALL QUILTS MUST BE PICKED UP BY 6:30 p.m. and YOU MUST HAVE YOUR RECEIPTS (which are given to you when you drop off your quilts) TO PICK UP YOUR QUILTS.
Raffle quilt drawing will be at the end of the show. Please be sure to have all sold tickets turned in by then.
