Kevin had been a flight attendant for the past 18 years and rediscovered quilting as his therapy and passion on long layovers. Kevin is a complete fabric utilitarian and is a budding blogosphere personality. He revisits his childhood through his works of art. Kevin the Quilter is the proud parent of two Boston Terriers, one really fluffy cat and a coop full of poultry.

July Events

Thursday, July 5th: DIY Patriotic Celebration of Quilting

Program at 1 and 7 pm

We all have created patriotic quilts, wall and table decorations that we display throughout the year on patriotic days.  Since we already have many July 4th pieces out of storage, let’s share your favorites with each other today.  Please bring your patriotic items for a special Show and Tell. Today’s program also includes a DIY patriotic pattern swap and a red, white and blue fabric exchange. We will be sitting at the round tables today.  You bring some table decorations and we’ll provide the ice cream.

DIY instructions for July 5th:

  • Bring favorite decorations
  • Trade patriotic patterns
  • Swap holiday fabrics
  • Celebrate with your friends

We will still end our meeting with the regular Show and Tell.

Saturday, July 21: Cherry Valley Library Workshop. Check the website for details and make sure you’re on Elizabeth Franck’s email list.
